

On January 25, 2026, the Minister of Transport and Communications, Abasattar Syrgabaev, visited the construction sites of the Northern Bypass Road of Bishkek. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic.
To improve the traffic situation and convenience for drivers, three two-level interchanges have been temporarily opened on the 230-236 km stretch of the Almaty-Bishkek – Tashkent highway. Asphalt work will resume with the arrival of spring.
Currently, the contracting organization responsible for the construction of the first six-lane road continues earthworks on the remaining sections in accordance with winter construction norms.
Syrgabaev emphasized the importance of quality control in construction and strict adherence to the approved work schedule.
Recall that the total length of the Northern Bypass Road is 33.4 km. This year, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of 15 km, including 6 km on the Almaty-Bishkek-Tashkent highway and 9.1 km on the Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road.
