In Suzak, a 12.8-hectare airfield has been returned to state ownership

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic has uncovered the fact of illegal privatization of important agricultural state property.

According to the special service, the plot, which was allocated to the Suzak Interfarm Association "Plodorodie" in 1978 for aviation support of agricultural lands, was of significant importance for food security and the development of the country's agricultural sector. However, during the reforms and liquidation of agricultural enterprises, using corrupt schemes, the airfield was illegally transferred into private hands.

In particular, in 2003, the head of the Baygush rural administration, M.J., abused his authority and, contrary to the interests of the state, signed an illegal decree transferring this plot to his relative, M.S.

As a result of the investigative and operational activities carried out, the plot of 12.8 hectares was returned to municipal ownership.

Currently, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting a comprehensive review of the legality of all lands that previously belonged to enterprises in the agricultural chemistry system. Based on the results of the review, necessary measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
