In Bishkek, an international patriotic event called "Blockade 872" was held in honor of the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. Representatives of the ANO "Eurasia" reported that various groups participated in the event, including public organizations, government officials, veterans, and students.

The main goal of the event was to honor the memory of the citizens who endured the Leningrad blockade, which lasted 872 days and became a symbol of heroism during the Great Patriotic War.

"Blockade 872" aims to preserve historical memory and develop humanitarian dialogue between the countries of Eurasia, with special attention given to working with youth and supporting veterans of the blockade.

At the Eurasian Center for the Russian Language in Bishkek, a play about the life of blockade survivors was also held, along with a memorial event called "Blockade Bread." Lessons of courage dedicated to the blockade and its consequences took place in more than 50 classrooms across the country.
