Initially, the newborn's condition was assessed as serious, but now both mother and baby are feeling great. “We thought the baby's weight would be around 4.5 kilograms, but he turned out to be over 5 kilograms. The delivery was natural. The contractions didn't last long. At first, the condition was serious, but thanks to the efforts of the doctors, the baby was moved to a ward, and now his condition is good. At the moment, both mother and baby are fine,” explained Diana Akhmatova, a doctor at the Kadamjay Center for General Medical Practice.
Interestingly, 31 years ago, Kanykey Shamsheva herself was born weighing 5 kilograms 500 grams and was given the name Kanykey. Now her family has named their son Manas. “In 1995, we celebrated the 1000th anniversary of Manas. My father was a well-known ulakchy and participated in those events. When I was born, I was named Kanykey. It was said that if a son was born, we would name him Manas. Now the father of the child has chosen the name Manas for our son. We hope he grows up to be a worthy and strong person who will serve the people,” noted Kanykey Shamsheva.
Kanykey has already given birth to two sons with significant weight.
