On January 28, a meeting was held in Kara-Kul with representatives of businesses operating in the food service sector. The press service of the city administration reported on this event.

Participants in this event included Manas Abdykalykov, the deputy mayor, and Talaybek Umetov, the head of the Kara-Kul office of the State Tax Service in the Jalal-Abad region.

During the meeting, updates to the Government Resolution of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 560, in effect since September 2014, regarding the regulation of trade in the country were discussed.

The main focus was on the requirements related to the transparent and accurate provision of information about service prices, referencing Articles 7 and 27 of the Law "On Consumer Rights Protection," as well as Articles 13 and 17 of the Constitutional Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic."

According to the new provisions:

additional service charges are not allowed;

separate fees for waitstaff, table setting, or food delivery should not be charged;

all prices must be clearly stated in the menu or price list;

the total amount that the customer must pay cannot exceed the price indicated in the menu.

These changes are aimed at protecting consumer rights and eliminating misunderstandings between customers and entrepreneurs.

During the discussion, entrepreneurs were able to ask their questions and receive answers.
