Recently, there have been cases of fraud in the Kyrgyz Republic involving honorary consuls of foreign states. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that unknown individuals are impersonating the director of the Consular Department, S. Jumakadyrov uulu, sending messages or making calls requesting urgent contact with some "coordinator from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" to discuss issues related to their work.
As emphasized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such communications have no relation to the agency and are fraudulent.
In this regard, the ministry strongly recommends that honorary consuls:
* be especially vigilant;
* avoid communication with unfamiliar individuals;
* not provide personal or official information;
* not click on suspicious links and not fulfill requests received through unofficial channels.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminds that all interactions with the ministry should occur exclusively through official channels, including official correspondence, diplomatic notes, and other established methods of communication.
The ministry urges everyone to remain vigilant and rely only on verified official sources of information.
