In the documentary film "Five Years — The Beginning of a New Era," Akylbek Japarov, who previously held the position of Prime Minister, announced the implementation of a state program for the construction of housing for citizens seeking to acquire their own homes.
He reported that within the framework of the projects of the State Mortgage Company, housing is offered with a preferential mortgage rate of 4 percent.
According to Japarov, during foreign visits, President Sadyr Japarov constantly communicates with labor migrants who express a desire to return to Kyrgyzstan on the condition that they have their own housing. In his opinion, the youth also support this idea.
“Mortgage houses at 4 percent are being built not only in Bishkek and Osh but also in district centers across the country. Young people deserve comfortable living conditions even in villages. We must strive to increase the population to 10–20 million and improve the quality of life,” he noted.
As the former Prime Minister clarified, more than 60,000 apartments have already been constructed in the republic, and citizens are gradually gaining access to housing.
Japarov added that significant socio-economic changes, such as an increase in the budget and large housing projects, have become possible thanks to the systematic and persistent work of the country's leadership, and the results of these transformations are felt by citizens through an improvement in their standard of living.
