On January 31, 2026, a winter sports celebration "Kыshky mayram - 2026" was held on the slopes of Mount Chon-Tash in Bishkek, organized for children. The goal of the event was to provide active and beneficial winter leisure for the youth, as reported by the city administration.
In the ceremonial part, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, and the Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanat Sagynbaev, congratulated the participants on the holiday and wished them health, joy, and an active lifestyle.
More than 400 children aged 13 to 15 from four districts of the city participated in the celebration. Among them were children from rehabilitation centers and boarding schools, as well as those who faced difficulties in life.
Various sports games and relays aimed at developing physical activity, improving health, and socializing children took place as part of the celebration.
Participants were also treated to an extensive entertainment program, which included performances by creative groups, magic shows, and interactive activities. At the end of the event, all children were awarded commemorative gifts and took a group photo.
The event was organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, as well as Tourism and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Administration.
It should be noted that the winter holiday for children has been held in the capital since 2011 and has become a good tradition that promotes a healthy lifestyle and the comprehensive development of youth.
