Yesterday, January 31, the winter festival "Ak Ilbirs" took place in the Ak-Tash gorge of the Ak-Tash area in the Orgochor rural district of the Jeti-Oguz region.

As the head of the Orgochor rural district, Nurdin Jusupov, spoke about the festival:

“As part of revitalizing the tourism sector, we held a festival in the Ak-Tash gorge, where a jade stone was found. Here we stand on the brink of implementing a large project. Modern capsule houses and A-frame houses will be built, and a number of works will be carried out for winter and summer sports. The area around the jade stone weighing 182 tons will be fenced off, covered with glass, and visitors will be able to view it from above. The project will be called 'Sart Ake Recreation Area,' and 20 hectares of land will be adapted for tourism,” he said.

In turn, the district akim Ermek Bakhaudinov noted that the main goal of the festival is the development of the tourism industry, promoting the beautiful places of Jeti-Oguz and the "seven wonders," highlighting the high tourism potential of the region.

At the festival, a crafts exhibition and a food fair were organized. Teams from local schools and kindergartens prepared "Ak Ilbirs" in various forms. A special competition was held for this, and prizes were awarded to the winners.

On this day, there were also sledding, tug-of-war, "ordo" games, salbuuurun, and archery. Guests enjoyed a hot air balloon ride and admired the beauty from above. Additionally, there was an opportunity to ride in horse-drawn sleds.

About 4,000 local and foreign tourists attended the festival.
