During a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to industrial policy, transport, the fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction, deputy Tabyldy Muratbekov expressed concern about the active construction of multi-story buildings in the southern part of Bishkek.
He noted that there is a real construction boom in this area, but the need for new schools and kindergartens is being ignored. The deputy inquired about the steps being taken by the Ministry of Construction to address this issue.
Deputy Minister Talantbek Imanakun uulu responded that work in this direction is being carried out in collaboration with the city mayor's office.
“Recently, you supported the ratification of a project to build 20 new schools in Bishkek. We have also granted permissions for the use of the first floors of multi-story buildings for kindergartens. Without the mandatory construction of schools and kindergartens, new facilities will not receive construction permits,” he emphasized.
