On February 4, a concert dedicated to the celebration of the Chinese New Year titled "Joyful Spring Festival in Bishkek 2026" took place in Bishkek.
This event was organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kyrgyzstan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chinese Cultural Center in Bishkek, and the Executive Association of Kyrgyz-Chinese Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The opening of the celebration began with a welcoming speech by the Chinese Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic, Liu Zhenping, who emphasized the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and expressed China's readiness to continue supporting and developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
Arslan Koychiev, the Secretary of State of Kyrgyzstan, also delivered a speech, congratulating the people of China on the Spring Festival and the upcoming New Year. He noted the significance of mutual friendship and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of bilateral relations, drawing attention to the symbolism of the Year of the Red Horse. In conclusion, he wished everyone present good luck, prosperity, and success in the new year.
The concert program featured:
- Fujian Professional Institute of Arts,
- Acrobatic Troupe from Fujian Province,
- Fujian Song and Dance Theater,
- Heritage Center of Gaojia Theater from Quanzhou City.
This event marked another step towards strengthening cultural ties and friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan.
