During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Bolot Borbiev raised the issue of measures being taken to reduce traffic jams in Bishkek, which, in turn, contribute to the formation of smog.

In response, First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev stated that a general plan for the city is currently being developed, which includes the creation of interchanges, the installation of intelligent traffic lights, as well as the construction of highways and overpass bridges.

Vice Mayor Ramis Aliyev added that various works are planned within this general plan.

“This year, it is planned to repair 120 kilometers of roads in Bishkek, including 6 bridges and 3 interchanges. The main focus will be on public transport, and 12 new streets will be opened,” he emphasized.
