In the Kara-Suu district, the installation of a wire fence along the border with Uzbekistan is planned.

A recent inspection of the border territories in the Kara-Suu district was conducted.

It was reported that on January 31, 2026, the first deputy akim of the district, Arzibek Jusupov, together with representatives of the Border Service of the State National Security Committee, heads of relevant organizations, and representatives of local self-government bodies, inspected the areas adjacent to Uzbekistan.

During this working trip, the participants familiarized themselves with the condition of the border zones and discussed the issues that arose. "Starting in March 2026, the installation of engineering structures will begin in certain sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border. In this regard, instructions were given to conduct explanatory work with the local population," the district administration reported.

According to the akim of the Kara-Suu district, Kanat Tabaldiev, in March, the Border Service will begin the installation of a wire fence in the area adjacent to the border with Uzbekistan.

“The commission visited the site where the fence installation work will take place. We found that some agricultural buildings are located on the border line, and several houses partially extend beyond the border zone. Decisions were made on-site,” the akim noted.
