Kyrgyzstan to Expand Exports of Beans, Honey, and Dried Fruits to the Pakistani Market

The meeting of the Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bekten Bekbolotov, with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan, Altamash Wazir Khan, took place.

It was reported that the meeting discussed current issues and the future of bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade, and the halal industry. Special attention was given to opportunities for increasing mutual trade in agricultural products, particularly the export of beans from Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan.

Representatives of the Pakistani side expressed interest in exchanging experiences in milk processing and the development of Kyrgyzstan's dairy industry. Additionally, they proposed short-term and long-term training programs under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program (PTAP), which include courses in agriculture and forestry.

The parties agreed to enhance cooperation by appointing contact persons, creating a joint working group of technical specialists, and developing trade in honey and dried fruits. It was also decided to continue expert consultations on issues of mutual interest and to promote the establishment of joint ventures. "The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and confirmed mutual interest in deepening cooperation," the press release stated.
