As reported by Turmush correspondent, the event emphasized that there is a growing number of cases of domestic violence each year.
Representatives from probation authorities in the Panfilov and Jayil districts, as well as social workers and human rights defenders, participated in the discussion.
According to Marat Umetov, the chief specialist of the Panfilov district probation authority, documents were restored for 11 clients in 2025.
“Among these 11 clients, 7 received passports, and 2 received military ID cards. Additionally, together with the labor and social welfare department, benefits were assigned to two clients,” Umetov noted.
For instance, a 36-year-old resident of the village of Panfilov, suffering from alcohol dependence and having committed thefts, was in a difficult situation. She was assigned benefits for her three children. Furthermore, clients are provided with medical, legal, and humanitarian assistance, and efforts continue for their employment and training,” he added.
According to Colonel of Police Anarbek Alybaev, Deputy Head of the Public Security Service of the Jayil District Department of Internal Affairs, the number of domestic violence cases is increasing.
“Domestic violence is one of the most serious problems. For example, in 2024, 393 cases were registered, while in 2025, there were already 653,” he reported.
Alybaev also noted that in January 2025, 35 cases were recorded, whereas in January 2026, their number rose to 77. Police officers are actively working to prevent this issue, and a special social program has been launched in pilot mode for individuals who commit violence,” he added.
At the meeting, chaired by Deputy Akim Farida Abdildaeva, a video presentation was made. The head of the interregional department of the probation service, Nurbek Chagyrbekov, discussed issues of cooperation between probation authorities and local governments, as well as correction and rehabilitation programs for probation clients.
In conclusion, the participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation and joint activities.
