Japan has transferred 43 units of special equipment to the Batken region

The ceremony dedicated to the transfer of special equipment took place in the Batken region as part of the project "Improving Equipment for Road Maintenance and Pavement."

Attending the event were the Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Hiroshi Ryuichi, the permanent representative of JICA, Nishigato Kotaro, the first deputy minister of transport and communications, Beknazar Bazaraliev, as well as the presidential representative in the Batken region, Aibek Shamenov, and local government representatives.

Thanks to the support of the Japanese agency JICA, the region received 43 units of road construction equipment and an asphalt concrete plant with a production capacity of 35 tons per hour.

The head of the region emphasized the significance of this cooperation, noting that despite the distance, Japan always supports Kyrgyzstan: "JICA is a reliable partner in expanding our interaction," he added.

The launch of the new asphalt concrete plant will ensure high quality and timeliness in the construction and repair of roads, while modern equipment will significantly accelerate the maintenance of the roadway.

According to the representative office, in 2025, 84 km of roads were asphalted and 56 km of gravel roads were constructed in the Batken region. This year, it is planned to asphalt 300 km and construct and repair 100 km of gravel roads.
