The director of the nursing home 'Ümüt üyi' was presented with an insurance certificate in the amount of 2,020,311.73 soms. This was officially announced by the city administration.
Recall that a tragic incident occurred on January 6, 2026, when a fire broke out in the palliative care unit of this institution, claiming the lives of two people. Since April 2023, the Social Stationary Institution 'Ümüt üyi' has been under the management of the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek City Administration, providing services to elderly citizens and people with disabilities over 18 years old who are in need of assistance.
The certificate presentation ceremony took place on February 11, 2026, and was conducted by the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, and the chairman of the board of the State Insurance Organization, Eldiyar Kaldarbekov.
During the certificate presentation, Aibek Junushaliev emphasized the importance of timely property insurance and assured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the safety and sustainable development of the city.
According to the city administration, in 2025, 65,989 residential properties and 49,308 vehicles were insured in Bishkek, including 2,337 units of municipal transport. Additionally, 587 municipal properties were fully insured.
Furthermore, by the mayor's directive and in order to protect municipal property and reduce financial risks, all institutions within the social development system of Bishkek, including 'Ümüt üyi', were insured with the State Insurance Organization.
