On April 7th, in Bishkek, between Mederov and Akhunbaev streets, there was an accident on the heating network with a damage to a 900 mm diameter pipe.
According to city authorities, to resolve the issue, the old pipe was temporarily shut down, and work has begun to connect it to a backup pipeline.
It is important to note that heating supply for the residents of the city has not been interrupted since the incident. Only hot water supply was temporarily suspended, which is currently being restored in stages. Full hot water supply has already been ensured in the 5th microdistrict, and in other high areas it will be restored within 4 hours.
To eliminate the accident, 5 units of special equipment have been mobilized, including a crane, an excavator, a mobile pumping station, and two specialized vans.
“We will do our best to complete the installation of the new pipe within one day,” said representatives of the municipality.
