The opening ceremony of the new pumping station No. 3 took place in Bishkek, as reported by the local mayor's office. The event was attended by Bishkek Mayor Aybek Junushaliev, Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, Chairman of the Bishkek City Council Bekzhan Usenaliev, and several other officials.
Mayor Aybek Junushaliev emphasized that this station is a significant project aimed at improving the heating system of the capital. It will provide a more reliable and stable supply of heat to the city.
“The Municipal Enterprise ‘Bishkekteploset’ supplies heat to over 143,000 clients and is a key facility in the communal infrastructure. Thanks to the efforts of the company's employees, heat reaches every home, creating comfortable conditions for residents. I want to note that the task of providing the city with heat is complex and responsible. This station is the result of many years of planning and construction,” the mayor added.
As part of the opening, trees were also planted on the territory of the new station. The construction of the station was planned back in 1986, but it was postponed and resumed only in 2024.
During the construction of the facility, the banks of the Alamedin River were reinforced, a 120-meter-long bypass channel was built, four pipelines with a diameter of 1000 mm were laid, and a pumping station building with an area of 576 square meters was erected. Eight modern pumps were installed at the new station, each with a capacity of 2500 m³/hour, as well as a transformer substation with two transformers.
Additionally, power cable lines were laid from the Bishkek substation, and work was done on the automation and dispatching of equipment. The roadway of Osmonkula Street was also reconstructed, new asphalt was laid, and sidewalks and a drainage system were arranged.
