On November 18, 2025, a new bridge over the YUBCHK was ceremoniously opened in Bishkek, connecting Shukurova Street (formerly Kropotkina) and Mederova. The construction of this modern facility took only three months, and the city's residents had long awaited its completion. The new bridge significantly improves transport connectivity in this direction, making travel more convenient and faster. This was reported by the city administration.
According to information from the municipality, all necessary construction works were carried out at the site. Beams 14 meters long were installed, two layers of asphalt were laid, and road markings and signs were put in place. The bridge consists of two lanes, each 10 meters wide, with sidewalks on both sides that are 2.25 meters wide. To ensure safety during nighttime, lighting with five lamp posts has been installed. The total length of the bridge is 17 meters, and its width is 9 meters.
The opening ceremony was attended by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev, as well as residents of nearby areas and other guests.
Construction work on the bridge began in July 2025. The project was developed in 2024 based on the architectural and urban planning assignment issued by the State Enterprise "Bishkek Main Architecture," and it passed all necessary state examinations.
The mayor noted that this bridge is just the beginning, and the city also plans to construct a bridge on Auezov Street, which local residents are eagerly anticipating.
The new bridge is already fully ready for operation and is open for traffic.
