In the area of the "Hunzi" bridge in the city of Markange, which is 758 meters long, signs of a landslide were observed on November 10: cracks and deformations in the ground. In response, a state of emergency was declared in the region, and the bridge was closed to traffic. All vehicles on the bridge were evacuated, and warning signs were installed on the highway.

On November 11, a major landslide occurred, leading to the collapse of the access ramp, supports, and span of the bridge. An assessment of the damage is currently underway, and the timeline for restoring vehicle traffic has not yet been determined. The construction of the "Hunzi" bridge was completed earlier this year by Sichuan Road & Bridge Group.
