The stairs on both sides of the bridge were restored and faced with granite just a few days ago, according to information from the city authorities.
The mayor's office expressed concern over this incident, emphasizing that the destruction of newly repaired areas is an unacceptable act and violates public property norms.
Jylgyzbek Bolotbekov, a representative of the mayor's office press service, noted that the police have not yet received any reports regarding this incident. However, the mayor has instructed the civil protection service to conduct a thorough investigation.
The Osh City Department of Internal Affairs, in turn, reported the initiation of verification activities based on the video posted by the mayor's office.
"In connection with this incident, an investigation and inquiry have been initiated. Currently, all circumstances of the event are being established, and relevant materials are being collected," the official statement noted.
