The active reconstruction of the bridge on Jibek-Jolu Avenue continues in Bishkek, as reported by the city hall. Currently, the construction of supports on the western side has been completed, while concrete and installation works are ongoing on the eastern part.
As part of the first phase of the project, six beam structures have been delivered for the construction of the new bridge. It is expected to be significantly wider and more convenient for traffic: the number of lanes will increase from two to six. The total length of the new structure will be 25 meters, and its width will be 34.3 meters.
Sidewalks three meters wide are also planned on both sides, ensuring pedestrian safety. The reconstruction of the bridge is an important part of the program for modernizing Bishkek's street and road network and increasing road safety.
