On both sides, both to the east and to the west, the construction of entrances to the underground passage continues. On the eastern side, concrete blocks are already visible under the compacted soil, while on the west, workers are installing reinforcement to later pour concrete or cement.
It was previously reported that after the soil compaction in this area, asphalt will be laid, which will allow traffic to open on Aitmatov Avenue from Akhunbaev Street to the Southern Highway.
The second layer of asphalt has already been completed on the rest of the road. New streetlights have been installed on the western side of the avenue up to the construction zone of the underpass, and on the eastern side — up to the middle of the "Adinay" park.
This month, Bishkek is expecting the CSTO summit, which, according to preliminary data, may be attended by the leaders of the member countries. The exact dates of the event have not yet been announced.
Aitmatov Avenue serves as an important government route used by high-ranking officials and foreign delegations.
