In the very center of Bishkek, active construction is underway for the large infrastructure project Old Bishkek, which is 80% complete.

During the inspection, the mayor expressed appreciation for the high quality and pace of work, noting that Old Bishkek will become a significant part of the modern urban infrastructure.

The construction began under challenging conditions, as this area is one of the busiest in Bishkek, where traffic and pedestrian flows intersect. Local residents have long experienced inconveniences, and there was a particularly acute need for systemic changes here.

Initially, the project was planned to be completed in two years, but during implementation, it became necessary to reconsider the approach to construction. It was decided to expand the team of specialists and change the format of project oversight.

The contractor teams have been strengthened, the number of specialists on site has increased, and work is now being conducted around the clock. All aspects of the project have been reviewed and optimized, including engineering details and materials used.

As a result of these changes, the pace of work has increased while maintaining high quality. Bishkek is confidently moving towards the completion of one of the most modern infrastructure projects in the country.

On Chuy Avenue, the concrete work is fully completed, vapor barrier work has been done, and the stage of two-layer waterproofing has begun. Ahead are leveling, asphalting, and landscaping. Chuy Avenue is expected to open at the end of December.

The underground parking for 250 spaces is over 60% complete. The complex includes a two-level parking lot, landscaped pedestrian areas, and an accessible environment for people with disabilities.

Nazgul Tuleeva, director of the "Tashbolot Holding" company, noted that special attention is being paid to the convenience of the capital's residents during the project's implementation.

Old Bishkek is not just an underground passage, but a multifunctional complex designed for the convenience and safety of city residents. It is designed with the needs of all categories of residents in mind – from students and parents with strollers to the elderly and people with disabilities. This project symbolizes the transformation of Bishkek – a city that strives to become more modern and safe, ensuring comfort for all its residents.
