According to Tilekesh Kalikberdi Turduyev, the elder of the village of Arali Ken-Zhilga, ten people died in two accidents on this highway. “The tragedy claimed the lives of ten people. Eight of them were residents of our village, and two, a married couple, came from Toguz-Bulak. All of them were buried on the same day. These young people were classmates and childhood friends, all were married, and one of them was the only son in his family,” Turduyev said.
The head of the ayil okmotu, Nursultan Tajibaev, reported that on November 3 at 14:00, a memorial prayer (“kuran okutuu”) and a sacrifice “tülöö” will be held at the central mosque of the Alay district in honor of those who died in the tragedy on the Osh–Gülchö highway.
Currently, local residents are preparing for this event by slaughtering sacrificial animals. The initiative to hold the “tülöö” comes from the Alay district community, and the funds for this were raised by local residents. The event is expected to take place with the participation of the district imam and will be aimed at honoring the memory of the deceased, as well as prayers for road safety and the well-being of people.
Prayers will also be held for two days.

Over the course of two days, two serious road traffic accidents occurred on the Osh–Sary-Tash-Irkesham highway in the Osh region, resulting in the deaths of ten people.
According to law enforcement agencies, the first accident occurred on October 30 at around 15:50 at the 78 km mark of the Osh–Sary-Tash–Irkesham road, in the village of Zhiluu-Suu. The car “Audi 80,” driven by 68-year-old R.K., crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a truck “JIEFANG,” driven by S.A., a resident of the Jalal-Abad region.
Preliminary information indicates that the driver of the passenger car experienced a heart failure while driving. As a result of the collision, the driver of the “Audi” and three of his passengers — Ch.A., Ch.G., and R.E. — died. Another passenger, G.T., died in the intensive care unit of the Alay district hospital. Among the victims were a mother, daughter, son-in-law, and a relative of the driver.
Several hours later, on the night of October 31, at around 01:15, a second accident occurred at the 67 km mark of the Osh–Sary-Tash–Irkesham highway, near the village of Tash-Koroo. On the mountainous section of the Chiyyrchyk pass, a truck of the “HOWO” brand collided with a passenger car “Tesla Model 3”.
In this accident, five men in the passenger car died. According to local residents, they were returning from a memorial service held in the village of Zhiluu-Suu and were friends and relatives. It is believed that all the deceased were born in 1992.
A rescue team from the Alay district emergency department arrived at the scene of the incident. Rescuers were able to extract the driver E. uulu A. from the truck cabin; he sustained injuries and was taken to the district hospital. The bodies of the deceased were handed over to law enforcement representatives.
Currently, the causes and circumstances of both accidents are under investigation.
