Recently, a partial collapse occurred on the "Hongci" highway bridge in Sichuan province in southwestern China, which was put into operation just a few months ago, reports Reuters.

The incident happened on November 10, when a landslide occurred on one section of the highway in Barkam County. In response, local authorities immediately took precautionary measures and completely closed traffic on the 758-meter bridge after cracks were discovered on the adjacent slopes and roadway. However, on November 11, due to the intensification of the landslide, the roadway collapsed. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.

The "Hongci" bridge plays an important role in the country's transportation system, as it connects the central regions of China with the Tibet Autonomous Region. Its construction was completed this year.
