As a result of the incident, two people were injured, and 50 cars were damaged in the parking lot near the complex, according to the administration of Krasnogorsk.
According to TASS, citing emergency services, more than 140 vehicles were actually damaged, and residential buildings in the vicinity were also affected. Officials indicate that the cause of the incident was violations by the contractor responsible for the dismantling work.
Representatives of the administration and the contractor have committed to contacting the owners of the damaged vehicles for compensation. The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, concerning "Violations of safety regulations during construction and other works."
