As reported by the deputy akim of the Ak-Tala district, Kanibek Esenaliev, the event was part of a three-day press tour initiated by the presidential representative in the Naryn region. The main goal of this event is to develop winter tourism and promote the tourist and historical sites of the region.
As part of the celebration, the Ak-Tala and Naryn districts divided responsibilities to fully showcase the culture of the area:
The Ak-Tala district organized the bozo festival, where masters not only treated guests to the national drink, which has become a symbol of the district, but also demonstrated ancient technologies for its preparation. An exhibition of local products was also organized.
The Naryn district took on the cultural program and the organization of an exhibition of folk applied arts. The works were presented by the best craftsmen, designers, and uzdars.
About 70 people participated in the event, including foreign tourists from neighboring countries and representatives of the media. Guests were offered not only national cuisine but also guided tours of historical sites. "The Ak-Tala district demonstrated unique methods of preparing bozo and introduced guests to the historical heritage, while the Naryn district showcased the full diversity of our crafts and culture. The exhibition brought together the best producers and masters of the region," Esenaliev reported.
