In the Chuy Region, the early mushroom season has begun: Oyster mushrooms have appeared, and their beneficial properties are explained by specialists.

In the Chuy region, there is an early appearance of spring mushrooms, particularly oyster mushrooms, which have started to grow in large numbers in parks, groves, and forest belts. This was reported by mushroom hunter Saiora Mamatova in an interview with a Turmush correspondent.

“The warm weather has contributed to the fact that oyster mushrooms began to appear significantly earlier than usual,” noted S. Mamatova. She also added that sharp temperature fluctuations and frosts do not negatively affect their growth, as oyster mushrooms can withstand the cold.

Biologist Irina Stezhko spoke about the nutritional qualities of oyster mushrooms. According to her, they contain 36% highly digestible protein, as well as 18 amino acids necessary for a balanced diet. Additionally, oyster mushrooms contain vitamins of groups B, D, and E. These mushrooms help normalize lipid levels in the blood, which aids in reducing both blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

“Oyster mushrooms are known for their anti-tumor and antiviral properties. They help tone the nervous system and strengthen immunity. These mushrooms also effectively cleanse the body of radionuclides. Unlike many other types of mushrooms, oyster mushrooms practically do not lose their beneficial properties after thermal processing,” added I. Stezhko.
