According to information provided to the Kabar agency, cardiovascular diseases continue to rank among the leading causes of mortality. This was reported by Myskal Duyshonalieva, head of the hypertension department at the M. Mirrakhimov National Center for Cardiology and Therapy.

To combat this issue, a national program called "Healthy Heart" has been initiated, which will operate from 2025 to 2030 and has been signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
“The program includes a series of activities aimed at the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and reducing mortality rates. The main focus is on prevention. It is important for every citizen of Kyrgyzstan to know their health indicators, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and glucose levels. For this purpose, a questionnaire titled 'Check Your Health' has been added to the 'Health' section of the 'Tunduk' system,” noted the cardiologist.

The survey includes eight key indicators that are important for heart health: smoking, fruit consumption, the number of steps taken, as well as levels of blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. By completing the questionnaire in just a few minutes, citizens receive health recommendations.

If deviations from the norm are detected, it is recommended to consult a family doctor. Currently, about 30,000 people have completed the survey. Additionally, efforts are being made to inform the public about disease prevention methods through mass media, and screenings are being conducted at Family Medicine Centers, where blood pressure is measured.

Myskal Duyshonalieva also added that currently 25 patients are being treated in the hypertension department, of which 80% have high blood pressure.
“Unfortunately, patients often come to us in advanced cases, when serious complications arise, such as stroke, heart failure, or acute myocardial infarction. To avoid serious consequences, it is important to take prescribed medications daily and monitor your blood pressure. This will help maintain the health of the heart, kidneys, and brain for many years,” she emphasized.

Cardiovascular diseases remain one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, and many factors influencing their development can be controlled by individuals to improve their health.

Doctor's Recommendations:
Healthy Eating. Consuming a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, fish, and nuts, as well as reducing the intake of fats and sugars, can help lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Physical Activity. Regular physical activities, such as walking, swimming, and cycling, contribute to strengthening the heart and blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels, as well as controlling weight.
Quitting Smoking. Smoking is one of the main risk factors. Complete cessation of tobacco products and avoiding secondhand smoke significantly reduces the likelihood of cardiovascular diseases.
Stress Management. Chronic stress negatively impacts heart health. Practices such as yoga, meditation, and deep breathing can help reduce stress levels.
Regular Medical Check-ups. Periodic visits to a doctor help monitor blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other indicators, allowing for timely detection and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
