Professor Talant Sooronbaev, head of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after Academician Mirrakhimov, stated on the air of the program "Ala-Too 24" that the actual mortality rates from cardiovascular diseases significantly exceed official data.

According to the professor, the number of patients with cardiovascular diseases is constantly increasing, which raises serious concerns. Kyrgyzstan ranks among the top in the Eurasian region for mortality rates from these diseases, which have consistently exceeded 50% for many years. Official statistics indicate approximately 20,000 deaths from heart diseases each year.

Sooronbaev also noted that cardiovascular diseases are becoming increasingly common among young people aged 20 to 60, with the highest mortality rates observed in the group aged 30 to 50. One of the main causes is acute myocardial infarction, which claims many lives in Kyrgyzstan.

Despite the official data, the professor claims that many cases of mortality remain undiagnosed, as people may not seek medical help in time or do so too late. As a result, the number of unregistered cases significantly increases the actual mortality figures, which are several times higher than the official statistics.
