Tuberculosis incidence in the Kyrgyz Republic has slightly decreased, while mortality has increased
In 2024, 3,583 new cases of tuberculosis were recorded in Kyrgyzstan, among which 66 cases were registered in the GSIN system. This data is presented in the materials of the Center for Electronic Health.

The review shows that the incidence rate has decreased by 5.9%, which amounts to 49.6 cases per 100,000 people.

On the other hand, the mortality rate from this disease in the republic has increased, reaching 2.8 per 100,000 population.

It was previously reported that nearly one in three people on the planet is a carrier of tuberculosis bacteria; however, the strong immune system of most individuals prevents their multiplication. Only 5-10% of those infected may develop the disease during their lifetime.
