The Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic confirmed that forensic chemical examinations have been appointed for the seized substances.
According to the agency, in accordance with Articles 96 and 97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, I. E., born in 1985, has been detained and placed in the detention center of the State Penitentiary Service.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing to identify other participants in the illegal drug trade.
Later, the city hall confirmed that E. I. did indeed work as a driver in one of the district administrations; however, he is no longer an employee of the akimat, as he was dismissed from his position.
The reasons why E. I. still possesses a valid identification card were not clarified by the city hall.
