Infant mortality in Kyrgyzstan remains at a high level
Despite a slight decrease, the infant mortality rate in Kyrgyzstan remains high. This is noted in the materials of the Center for Electronic Health.

According to the study, in 2024, there were 1,836 registered cases of infant deaths under one year old, which corresponds to a rate of 13.1 per 1,000 live births. In comparison, in 2023, the number of deceased infants was 2,040.

The main factors influencing the infant mortality rate in the country remain diseases and conditions arising in the perinatal period, which account for 69.8 percent. Congenital anomalies rank second with a rate of 17.2 percent, and respiratory diseases rank third with 8.3 percent.
