Even 15 minutes of walking can extend life — The Washington Post,

The study found that adults and elderly people who regularly walked for 15 minutes had half the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and generally lived longer than those who did not engage in such prolonged walks.

“We have long known that physical activity is important, but we did not fully understand how crucial the rhythm and structure of these activities are,” said Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis from the University of Sydney, who was the lead author of the study.
