According to endocrinologist Bermet Karymshakova from CSM No. 6, announced on November 11 during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio," there are 90,000 registered patients with diabetes in Kyrgyzstan, of which 19,000 live in Bishkek.

Karymshakova noted that this disease is often not diagnosed immediately, leading to a low detection rate. She suggests that the actual number of people with diabetes is significantly higher.

"Every day, at least five new patients with a diagnosis of diabetes come to me. Currently, there are 1,200 people registered in the Oktyabrsky district," the doctor added.

Diabetes is a chronic condition characterized by elevated blood glucose levels.

Additionally, Karymshakova announced that on November 14, a diagnostic event will be organized at the "Asia Mall" shopping center in honor of World Diabetes Day. As part of the event, doctors will measure blood glucose levels and blood pressure, as well as provide consultations from an endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, cardiologist, and gerontologist.
