Since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Republican Center for Psychiatry and Narcology has noticed a significant increase in the number of patients with mental disorders. This was reported on November 6 by psychiatrist Yulia Ulitina on the program on "Birinchi Radio".

According to Ulitina, over the past five years, 53,000 people have undergone inpatient treatment, and 32,000 have received outpatient services. The doctor noted that there is a growing number of patients with mental disorders each year.

Currently, there are 80 people undergoing inpatient treatment in the psychosomatic disorders department, and the department is fully occupied. The number of hospitalizations increases during the spring and autumn periods, which is related to seasonal factors. The average length of stay in the department is 30 days.

The psychiatrist also emphasized that among the main reasons for seeking help from specialists are depression, insomnia, panic attacks, and post-traumatic disorders.
