The decree on the establishment of the national program "Healthy Heart" for 2025-2030 was signed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.

According to information from the president's press service, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) rank first among the causes of mortality in the country. The National Statistical Committee reports that in 2023, more than half (52.3 percent) of all fatalities were related to CVD.

The main objective of this program is to reduce the level of premature mortality by 25 percent, as well as to decrease the socio-economic consequences associated with CVD and non-communicable diseases (NCD).

To achieve the set goals, it is planned to create an effective, integrated, and digital patient-oriented system that will focus on prevention, early detection, treatment, and rehabilitation, while ensuring equal access to medical services for all segments of the population.
