According to the press service of the Presidential Administration, during the event, Sadyr Japarov proposed a new symbolic name for the complex — "Zhashtyk," whereas it was previously named after Dolon Omurzakov.
The sports facility, located in the Pervomaisky district of the capital Bishkek, can accommodate 5,000 spectators. Its total area is 15,342 square meters, and it consists of a three-story building with a basement.
The basement includes parking, technical rooms, an electrical panel, and heating units. The first floor houses a training hall, changing rooms, showers, a medical station, and a conference room. The second floor is designated for a food court and includes storage, sanitary, and technical rooms, as well as spectator seating. The VIP lounge and additional spectator seats are located on the third floor.
The sports arena meets international standards and can be used for not only sporting events but also international tournaments, concerts, and cultural mass events.
As a symbol of heritage, the head of state signed a football and passed it on to the future generation.
After that, Sadyr Japarov familiarized himself with the infrastructure of the complex, inspecting the changing rooms and training halls, and also participated in the concert program dedicated to the national youth forum "Kiyalymdagy Kyrgyzstan."
At the forum, youth, their leaders, aspiring entrepreneurs, renowned athletes, and graduates of prestigious universities shared initiatives and visions for the future of the country, expressing their readiness to actively participate in the development of society and the implementation of innovations.
At the conclusion of the event, the president was informed about an investment project for the construction of modern tennis courts aimed at developing sports infrastructure and promoting tennis in Kyrgyzstan.
