The City Hall handed over new equipment to the capital's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, handed over new equipment and specialized tools to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the city of Bishkek.

Present at the event were Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Akylbek Mazaripov, Head of the Emergency Situations Department for Bishkek Usun uulu Akjol, as well as the head of the Sverdlovsk district, Mederbek Amangeldiev, along with employees of the capital's emergency services.

The mayor emphasized that the city administration places great importance on the development of the material and technical base of rescue services. This year, approximately 5 million soms have been allocated for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and over the past two years, funding has increased to 10 million soms.

“We will continue to support the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations by creating the necessary conditions for them to fulfill their duties. The equipment provided will be an important tool in their daily, responsible work, allowing them to be prepared for any emergency situation and respond promptly to the requests of residents,” noted Junushaliev.

Additionally, the city administration reported that last year significant measures were implemented as part of collaborative efforts to improve the safety of the city: strengthening riverbanks, constructing a dam with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters in the Manka-Zhar gorge, and acquiring modern rescue equipment.
