The GKNB initiates preventive measures against involvement in extremist organizations.
According to the GKNB, a comprehensive effort is being carried out in collaboration with NADRMO and DUMK to educate and inform the population, including students of schools, colleges, and universities, about the necessity of preventing citizens, especially youth, from engaging in the activities of banned groups.
Since the beginning of the year, explanatory activities have been conducted in educational institutions such as the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov, and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn.
Particular attention is directed towards enhancing religious literacy, developing critical thinking, and strengthening traditional spiritual values, as well as interfaith harmony.
It is emphasized that work in this direction will continue in other educational institutions both in the capital and in the regions.
The committee points out that the low level of awareness among certain citizens about traditional Islam leads to the involvement of people in the ideology of various extremist organizations, whose activities aim to spread radical ideas that contradict the principles of a secular state and the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
Involvement often occurs through targeted propaganda, including the use of internet resources, social networks, and closed groups.
The GKNB also reminded that participation in banned organizations and the dissemination of their materials entails responsibility under the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
