In Bishkek, a charity celebration organized by the Help the Children-SKD foundation, titled "Pancake - a Symbol of the Sun!", was held in honor of Maslenitsa. The event aimed to support children undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.
As the organizers explained, the pancake symbolizes the sun, embodying warmth, generosity, and hope.
The president of the foundation, Elena Koneva, emphasized that it is important not only to celebrate the holiday but also to do good deeds that can provide children with support, strength, and faith in a better future.
The event featured performances by the "Souvenir" ensemble, which operates under the auspices of the Bishkek City Hall's Department of Culture. The artists delighted guests with musical numbers in Kyrgyz and Russian, creating a festive atmosphere with live music and colorful dances.
As a result of joint efforts, 125 children and their parents from the oncology and hematology departments, as well as medical staff and doctors, were able to enjoy delicious pancakes and recharge with positivity and a spring mood.
