A charity event organized by the Help the Children-SKD foundation titled "Pancake - a Symbol of the Sun!" was held in Bishkek in celebration of Maslenitsa.
According to the organizers, this event was aimed at helping children undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.
Elena Koneva, the president of the foundation, emphasized that the pancake symbolizes the sun, warmth, generosity, and hope.
According to her, maintaining the festive spirit implies not only joy but also good deeds that can inspire children and give them faith in a better future.
The "Souvenir" ensemble, operating under the Culture Department of the Bishkek Mayor's Office, created a festive atmosphere by performing songs in Kyrgyz and Russian, delighting guests with live music and dances. The main task of the ensemble is to strengthen friendship and cultural ties.
As a result of joint efforts, 125 children and their parents from the hematology oncology departments, as well as medical staff and doctors, were able to enjoy festive pancakes, feeling the positivity and spring mood.
