In Bishkek, a charity celebration organized by the Help the Children-SKD foundation, titled "Pancake - Symbol of the Sun!", was held in honor of Maslenitsa. The event aims to support children undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health.
Elena Koneva, the president of the foundation, emphasized that the pancake symbolizes the sun and embodies warmth, hope, and generosity. She added that it is important not only to rejoice but also to do good deeds that can help children believe in a better future.
The festive atmosphere was created by the "Souvenir" ensemble, which operates under the Culture Department of the Bishkek City Hall. The artists performed numerous songs in Kyrgyz and Russian, delighting guests with live music and lively dances. The main goal of the ensemble is to strengthen cultural ties and friendship.
As a result of joint efforts, 125 children and their parents from the oncological hematology departments, along with doctors and medical staff, were able to enjoy pancakes and recharge with positivity and spring spirit.
