Today, February 22, a ceremonial event titled "Farewell, Maslenitsa" is taking place at the Lenin House of Culture square.
The holiday will reach its climax with the traditional burning of the Maslenitsa effigy, which this year stands at a height of 6 meters, according to the organizers.
The event includes vibrant performances by artists of various nationalities living in the city.
Guests will be offered a concert program, folk dances and songs, as well as traditional treats characteristic of Maslenitsa.
