Residents of the village of Chekildek, located in the Kochkor district of Naryn region, have expressed a request to restore access to clean drinking water. This was reported at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh by deputy Adilet Belekov.
He noted that the village received clean drinking water in 2018, but the supply was stopped just a month later.
“Some residents are forced to drink water from a canal, while others have drilled wells on their plots. The issue of water quality has become quite urgent. A similar situation is observed in the village of Kyzyl-Jyldyz in the Jumgal district, where part of the population has access to water, while the other part does not,” Belekov added.
In addition, the deputy mentioned a closed kindergarten in the village of Epkin in the Kochkor district, which ceased operations back in 1940.
“Since then, there has been no kindergarten in the village, and currently more than 100 children need this institution. Residents are asking for help, as they have to transport children to other villages,” he concluded.
