In Osh, a conflict occurred among traders due to the relocation of the iftar market, which led to heated discussions.

The iftar market, previously located on R. Abdykadyrov Street, was moved to the intersection of Mominov and Shota Rustaveli Streets.

According to the press service of the city administration, the reason for the dispute is related to the competition for trading spots at the new location. The reasons for the market's relocation were also outlined.

“Every year during the month of Orozo, the city administration instructs seven territorial managements to organize iftar markets. These events are monitored to avoid violations. In the morning, disagreements arose among traders who were arguing over spots,” the city administration clarified.

Some traders who previously worked at the old location were unable to find a place at the new site and began to argue. They explained that some of them traded on R. Abdykadyrov Street without permission, causing traffic jams. As a result, the iftar market was moved to Mominov Street, and trading now requires permission from municipal authorities,” they added in the city administration.

Trader Elaman Urmat uulu, representing the iftar market, noted that such conflicts are not new.

“Previously, trading on that street was conducted with permission. Sometimes there were minor disagreements, but trading continued. This year, due to road repairs, it became contrary to the law, which led to traffic jams, and we were moved here. We will trade at this location. Some traders who have worked for many years at the previous site come and argue over spots. No other problems are observed,” he said.
