In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, an inspection of several cemeteries was conducted by a working commission established to assess the activities of the municipal enterprise "Bishkek Agency of Funeral Services." The city hall reported this event.

The commission included Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, as well as deputies of the Bishkek City Council Talaybek Daiyrbekov and Zhanibek Asanbekov.

The first stop of the inspection was at the Southwest Cemetery, which has been closed for new burials since January 1, 2021, by the directives of the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety, the Central State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, and the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkekglavarchitectura."

During the inspection of the area, the commission identified numerous deficiencies related to land maintenance, burial records, and organizational activities. The municipal enterprise was tasked with conducting a complete inventory of burial sites and presenting proposals for improving the condition of the area in accordance with established standards.

The commission also visited the cemetery located near the village of Orto-Sai, which is now under the city's control, as well as the Muslim cemetery in the "Kok-Zhar" area. The Municipal Enterprise "BARU" is responsible for monitoring the proper use of land plots, improving infrastructure and accessibility of the area, as well as compliance with maintenance regulations.

The purpose of the inspections is to conduct a thorough and impartial analysis of the municipal enterprise's activities, to monitor compliance with legislation, to improve the quality of services provided, and to assess the effectiveness of resource use and municipal property.
