A solemn ceremony took place in Bishkek where insurance certificates were presented to residents affected by a recent fire.
The event was attended by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and the director of the Bishkek branch of the state insurance company, Alima Nurlanova, who handed over the certificates to the citizens.
Compensation was paid to eight individuals, each receiving 1 million soms, totaling 8 million soms.
In his speech, Junushaliev emphasized the importance of having property insurance and wished everyone health and well-being.
“Unexpected situations can occur at any moment. The fire affected 68 apartments, but only eight of them were insured with our organization. We strive for 100% of properties to be insured and urge all city residents to take care of this,” the mayor noted.
The city hall also provided financial assistance to another 22 apartments that were also affected by the incident.
It is worth noting that the fire occurred on November 15, 2025, in a three-story residential building on Ch. Aitmatov Avenue, covering an area of about 800 square meters.
